POC Multisports helmet "RECEPTOR +" 2009 White

Receptor + was developed for multidisciplinary activities for people who are tired of storing various helmets around their home.  The Receptor + is designed for use on snow, bike, skate-board, or in water and has been certified by the appropriate authorities for all three respective environments. To keep you warm during winter sports, the helmet uses padding inserts, which can be removed in the summer for full ventilation. The trickiest challenge in developing the helmet was to meet the diverse certification requirements of various sports. By utilizing POC's patent-pending  ballistic Aramid penetration barrier, merging the two technologies of in-mold helmets and traditional hard-shell helmets, and using a unique double-shell system (VDSAP), POC succeeded. Another requirement was to  ensure that when used in water, the liner would not soak up the liquid and become heavy and thereby less effective. to  overcome this, POC use expanded polypropylene, which is able to withstand multiple impacts and guarantees that the helmet will retain the same weight regardless of where it is worn.

* Technical features :

Wheels : Receptor, shown without ear pads for biking, skateboard or other summer activities.

Water : Additional ear pieces for water use made of sandwich molded EVA, to prevent bursting ear drums.

EVA Pads :  Included EVA pads for use in water sports. These pads do not soak up liquid.
